SHE CONSIDERS HERSELF VERY FORTUNATE TO BEEN EDUCATED AND SUPPORTED BY FINE JAZZ MUSICIANS SUCH AS FRANK ROBERSCHEUTEN, DAN BARRETT, BERND LHOTZKY AND CHRIS HOPKINS. WITH SPECIAL THANKS TO HER VOCAL TEACHERS SHAUNETTE HILDABRAND, JANICE LAKERS AND SANNA VAN VLIET WHO HAVE BEEN OF GREAT HELP DEVELOPING HER VOICE. TO GET HER TEACHERS DEGREE SHE STARTED HER STUDIES AT THE SCHUMANN ACADEMY IN UTRECHT, WITH WOBBE KUIPER AND HANNAH YBELES SMIT.

MARIËLLE HAS BEEN SINGING IN THE NETHERLANDS, GERMANY AND SWITZERLAND AT JAZZ VENUES, JAZZCLUBS, CORPORATE AND PRIVAT PARTIES.
“I LOVE SINGING JAZZ: THE WONDERFULL SONGS, SOME WRITTEN ALMOST A CENTURY AGO AND SOME RECENTLY COMPOSED. “THE ON STAGE INTERACTING WITH THE OTHER JAZZ MUSICIANS IS SO INSPIRATIONAL AND MAKES IT AN ABSOLUTE JOY TO DO. THAT IS WHAT I WANT TO SHARE WITH THE PEOPLE LISTENING.”
HER FEEL FOR SWING AND THE ABILITY TO USE THE LYRICS TO TELL THE STORY, PUT TOGETHER WITH HER WARM VOICE, MAKES THAT SHE HAS A SOUND OF HER OWN.
SHE PERFORMS WITH SEVERAL BANDS, PERFORMING THE CLASSIC JAZZSONGS AS WELL AS SOME MORE “HIP MATERIAL”. FOR SOME RECORDINGS AND INFO GO TO THE MUSICPAGE.
